My Journey

As a child, I had a safe space in a linen closet in our hallway. I would climb up to the third shelf where I could sit comfortably among my blankets and stuffed animals while I wrote in my diary about the dreams I had and the places I wanted to go. It was my first experience learning to escape and to dream.

As I got older, the linen closet morphed and changed. It went from a physical space to an internal space. As my emotions became bigger than me, I tried to control them through a variety of ways that didn't fully support me.

I seemed to vacillate between wanting safety and pushing boundaries. All while stuffing whatever I could inside. Inevitably, I became a high-achieving, people-pleasing, anxiety-ridden adult who struggled with healthy boundaries and unhealthy habits.

My journey became one of learning as much as I could about healing, so I could stop the cycle of suffering. The most positive experiences in dealing with my emotions and accepting them was through my breath and in quieting my mind.

I learned to listen to myself and became more in tune to my body. I learned to feel emotions and accept emotions for what they are which is beauty and necessity. I learned that we all suffer and we all have a choice to suffer less. Every day we have a choice. Some days are harder than others and that is the human experience. How we deal with the feelings makes all the difference.

My mission is to help you deal with those feelings. Recognize them. Understand them. Learn to breathe through them or get quiet and allow them to pass or simply accept them and grow from them. You choose, you decide. That is the journey and you choose your path to healing and growth.

There are many interpretations for the meaning of OM. The most popular are "sound of the Universe", soul, self-within, truth. My favorite interpretation is that it means "everything and everyone". To me, it means that we are all in this beautiful life together, so we can all learn, grow and love together. One breath, one silent moment, one true acceptance of our common experience.

We all have the ability to design a life we love if we are brave enough to break through our fears. Sometimes, you just need help making that breakthrough.

Much love -
